I want to help foster community, take the stress out of your design dilemmas, offer exceptional work for all (budgets) and sprinkle some fun and color in along the way!
Accessible interior design and art. Right here. You’ve come to the right place.
Here at hope + bay we believe you should be surrounded by things you love and not be afraid to share them! (Even with those adorable little kiddos or animals you live with.) As a mom of two, I understand the desire to have cultivated, connective, simplified home, while allowing space for the mess and fun of life to filter in.
On the commercial side, if you are a business owner, let us help you create an interior that conveys the heart of your company. A place where your clients can see and feel your core values and have it show up for them.
Your space should tell your story. Let me help you tell it.
Hi there! I’m Brenna, the founder and principal designer at hope + bay design co.
On some level, I’ve always known I wanted to be an interior designer + artist.
As a child, some of my first design memories are time spent sitting with my Dad (an architect) at our dining room table with a roll of yellow tracing paper working out a detail for project he was working on, and for fun as I got older I would spend hours rearranging my room and dreaming up ways I could improve my surroundings.
I always loved creating art and immersing myself in art history. I was able to combine those passions at UMASS Amherst and graduated with a BFA in Design and a minor in Art History.
After more than a decade of working at a NY architectural firm in collaboration with a talented group of in-house architects, designers, and engineers on a variety of design projects including: public and private schools K-12 schools, churches, public libraries, banquet halls and residences and taking on family and friends homes and businesses, hope + bay design co was born. I’m also NCIDQ and LEED ID+C.
My approach to design comes from a very practical and functional standpoint. I want your interior environment to improve your life and happiness; whether it’s for you or your employees. There’s no doubt that design projects can sometimes be overwhelming and stressful.
Luckily, there’s a recipe for a successful design project and it starts with your team - their ability to work well together; to excel at creative problem solving; to always be an anchor and sounding board for the end user; and to stay on schedule and within budget. My experience allows me to excel at this.
