Family Art Sessions

The studio was SO excited to start offering this wonderful experience this spring. Those plans are on hold as of now but that does not mean we can’t start spreading the word about it! Are you excited? I am!

Let’s rewind a bit…Last summer on my birthday I gathered up:

  • a drop cloth

  • a large canvas (36” x 36”)

  • paint

  •  brushes

  • paper towels

  • and two confused kiddos

and we went out into the backyard for a family art session.  I just wanted to DO something with my kids for my birthday. So I set up our drop cloth and canvas on our basketball court area and started painting. It started with a heart and turned into a Jackson Pollack lesson.  There were thoughtful questions and giggles and wonderful memories made. It was one of the best birthday experiences I have ever had.

Our piece is proudly on display in our art studio and makes me smile every time I look at it.

One of the items I get asked about most from design clients is art. Where do you get it? Why is it so expensive? Art is SO personal and something I believe everyone should have in their home. Most people end up at Home Goods and find something they like to “finish” their space – don’t get me wrong I’ve done it. I have one of those hanging in my bedroom. But does it MEAN anything to you? Does is bring back memories? Does it bring you joy? Wouldn’t it be more meaningful to have a piece of art that you all contributed to?

Private family art sessions start at $250 and include one hour at the studio. All art supplies are provided as well as a canvas (we are currently offering pre-stretched canvases in varying sizes the largest being 60” x 72”).  These sessions are great for your immediate family, for a grandparents birthday presents, the options are endless.

Let us help you create that experience! Reach out to the studio now to get more information or set up a (tentative) time to come and have your family art session.
